    Let's start by having a look at the final effect so we know what we're aiming for. 0:00
    Now, for this, I'm gonna switch over to my camera, but I'm gonna be covering my 0:05
    mouth, so I don't accidentally trigger something we're not ready to see yet. 0:09
    So, we've got our Treehouse mascot Mike up here, on our forehead. 0:13
    Behind mic, we've got a web development badge, and 0:18
    we've also got some badges around the sides as well in the borders. 0:21
    So there's some here, and there's some down here. 0:25
    Now when we blink, Mike blinks as well, and when we open our mouth, 0:27
    Mike will also open his mouth, and we get a little speech bubble. 0:32
    I'm learning Web Dev. 0:37
    Now, the user can also tap on their screen, or for our case, 0:39
    click on the screen, to change the topic that you're learning. 0:43
    So, AI, Data, Design, my personal favorite 0:46
    Python, and it cycles back to Web Dev. 0:52
    Now, let's head back to Effect House's homepage, and start a new project. 0:57
    It's this big blue button on the left. 1:06
    We'll just have to import some minimal assets. 1:12
    We're met with a completely new canvas, which may look a little intimidating, 1:15
    but don't worry, because I'll be with you right here, every step of the way. 1:21
    But just so I'm not taking up a lot of your screen, 1:26
    let's make me a little bit smaller. 1:30
    Now first, there are a couple of defaults that we don't need. 1:32
    Because the effect we're creating is purely 2D with no really 3D elements 1:36
    except for us, we actually don't need this directional light. 1:41
    So we can select it, and we can simply delete it. 1:45
    Something else that we do not need is down here in the visual scripting. 1:49
    These two nodes we do not actually need for our project at all, 1:53
    so, let's delete them. 1:58
    Now we've got a completely blank workspace to work with. 2:00
    So, let's get ourselves ready for this project by importing the assets. 2:04
    First, download the assets from the project files. 2:08
    Once you've done that, make sure they're unzipped, 2:12
    make sure they're in a good folder, and then you can click this import button. 2:15
    Now we've got a bunch of assets here, we've got five badges, five borders, 2:19
    five bubbles, and then three pictures of Mike in different states. 2:25
    So let's select everything, and pop him in. 2:30
    Now, you'll notice that these images were imported into a textures folder. 2:34
    Now the reason for this is because Effect House sees images as 2D frames almost, 2:39
    that can have a texture. 2:45
    Now we'll talk about this more later as we work with it, but 2:46
    just know that your idea of image for this workshop may be challenged. 2:50
    And so great, we've got a blank workspace and we're ready to start creating. 2:55
