Hi Phumlani,

The problem might be the positioning of the text inside each list item. Try and nest it inside/between the opening and closing <a> tag as shown below:

   <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
   <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
   <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
