not working; final RelativeLayout relativeLayout = (RelativeLayout) findViewById(R.id.relativeLayout); //cannot find ?

following along, some things are now different. usually cnt + enter has fixed it so far. I am now trying to change background color for each random fact. error msg = " cannot find symbol class RelativeLayout"

in FunFactsActivity file the only thing in red is 'RelativeLayout', and 'setBackgroundColor' when i try to set it to relativeLayout.setBackgroundColor(Color.RED);

The app still works, but with each new fact the background is still green.

MealActivity.java
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.widget.TextView;

public class MealActivity extends Activity {

    @Override
    public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        setContentView(R.layout.activity_meal);

        TextView foodLabel = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.foodTextView);
        TextView drinkLabel = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.drinkTextView);
        RelativeLayout mealLayout = (RelativeLayout) findViewById(R.id.mealLayout);
    }
}
