Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types String Formatting

OK, now use .format() on the string "Treehouse loves {}" to put your name into the placeholder. Assign this to the var

having a little trouble any help is appreciated..

strings.py
name = 'Alvaro'
subject = Treehouse loves {} .format(name)

You are so close that you are probably going to laugh.

You just need quotes " around the "Treehouse loves {}" string. :smile:

Treehouse loves {}   # Invalid Python

"Treehouse loves {}"  # Valid Python!
