var width = '190'; var numOfDivs = 10; parseInt(width); var totalWidth = width * numOfDivs;

I cannot get past this 'parseInt' challenge to find totalWidth. Can someone please point to my (almost certainly) simple error?

var width = '190'; var numOfDivs = 10; parseInt(width); var totalWidth = width * numOfDivs;

The problem is in here: parseInt(width). The value this function returns is an integer, so you need to assign the returned value back to width variable to overwrite the old string value, which is '190'. So modify this line of code to this: width = parseInt(width).

Perfect. Thanks very much.
