What am I doing wrong?

Look in your coordinates variable at the value 'Mike'. Before it you have a double quote and after it you have a single quote.

Once you have solved this problem you should be good to go!

So Close!!! just change your quotes on the second to be consistent. Either single or double quotes. Not both. You should be good to go. 

var coordinates= [
                    //change the quote marks for Mike 
['Shawn', "Mike']
];

//reworked 

var coordinates = [
['Shawn', 'Mike']
];

you should be good to go. they might ask for a comma after the second array, because I'm sure the challenge will want more arrays in the array. But yeah after that you should be fine.
