According to these statistics - which are compiled from other statistic sources, WordPress powers around 22% (top 100K) to 30% (top 1M) of the top websites. Notice however that those particular stats are pulled from here, which I believe is just counting websites that are using a detectable CMS; not all websites in general. Either way, the total market share of WordPress in general is significant compared to competitors.
