About Contributor Role

It was mentioned in a video tutorial that contributor can only write his/her own posts and wait editor/admin to approve post for puplish.

Have created localy a contributor user and afterwards log out(as admin) and log in(as contributor).

The WordPress control panel however didnt have area (in the left) in order to create any new posts. Only for alteration of user profile.

Please if you mention if WordPress 5.03 edition doesnt have any options in order contributor to write new posts or needs to configure some settings.
