Accessing files outside of website directory

I have a directory structure on my server that looks like this:

home

/user

/simplang.com

/vendor

In the vendor directory, I have composer and slim installed. However, my website is in the "simplang.com" directory. How do I "reference" the files in the vendor directory?

I'd say the easiest answer is to just move your vendor folder into your site folder and reference it from your site directory.

<?php
include 'vendor/fileINeed.php';
?>

Will this break any of the dependencies in the vendor directory?
