Hi there! Your code echoes out the result of adding 5 to $integerOne and then echoes out the result of subtracting 1 from $integerTwo. However, this is not what the challenge is looking for. It's important in challenges to try not to do anything it doesn't explicitly ask for. In this case, the challenge hasn't asked for us to echo anything. It's expecting the value of $integerOne to change by 5 and the value of $integerTwo to change by 1.

Take a look:

<?php
//Place your code below this comment
$integerOne = 1;
$integerTwo = 2;
$integerOne += 5;
$integerTwo -= 1;
?>

This will add 5 to $integerOne and assign the result back into the variable and then subtract one from $integerTwo and assign the result back into the variable thus changing the values stored there. Hope this helps! :sparkles:
