CSS How to Make a Website Styling Web Pages and Navigation Make a CSS Image Gallery

Add a margin of 2.5% not working...

I am trying to apply the 2.5% margin to the #gallery li in the css but it says then it overrides the 45% of the last answer.

Why? Other than the fact that it is cascading and obviously overriding.

Can you post your code? Use the markdown for best results :)

Ah. I see. I must have been calling it something different than width and it was confusing the css.

Thanks so much Ron!

Is this what you had?

#gallery li { float: left; width: 45%; margin: 2.5%; color: #fff; background: #454545; }

The color & background are whatever you want them to be.
