Directions are not clear and I'm simply lost on how to complete this task. Everything I've tried has resulted in error.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 33,271 Pointsyou are close. since you have already upped id and saved it as userName, no need to do it again, just use userName. then, you aren't modifying lastName like it wants.
