- declare the variable 'coordinates' as an array
- Place within the array 4 new arrays
- Each of those 4 arrays needs to have 2 values in it.
So the first line of code you put was already the correct answer:
var coordinates = [
[1,2], [2,3], [3,4], [9,10]
];
When you did the push() method on your 2nd line of code you added an additional 3 arrays to the coordinates
variable unnecessarily. Your last line of code is likely why you aren't passing the exercise. You are declaring the same variable twice. You are only able to declare a variable once within a code block. Meaning, if you want to assign a new value to the coordinates
variable, you need to make sure the second time you aren't using the var
keyword.
