adding an else clause challenge.

I can't seem to figure out why my js code is getting a syntax error.

var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin == true) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent == true) {
    alert('Welcome student');
} else ( isAdmin == false) && (isStudent == false) {
  alert('Who are you?');
}

Hey David,

else clauses do not have any kind of statements associated with them. Their syntax is simply else { //code }. The else, without an if attached to it, is for any other case not specified in the if and/or else-ifs that came before it.

var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin == true) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent == true) {
    alert('Welcome student');
//change to just else because it cannot have any conditions
} else {
  alert('Who are you?');
}
