Set the value of echo means assign the results of the function you created:

var echo = returnValue ('sound') ;

Hi, KRIS is right. The echo variable should be removed from the function, like so:

function returnValue (sound) {
    return sound;
}
let echo = returnValue ( 'sound' ) ;
