AJAX basic

this is for challenge task 1 of 2 it is asking: we have created a AJAX callback function. need to complete the request. Add code to open the AJAX request using the GET.method and pointing to the 'footer.html' file. Here is my code: what is wrong?

You're close. You need to move the open method on the request object outside of the current scope(s).
