I'm having trouble with the third part of the challenge. Maybe I'm not understanding what is being asked for... The last line of all the code (in weather.js file) is what I'm having trouble with... Any help would be appreciated!
$(document).ready(function() {
var weatherAPI = "http://api.openweathermap.org/data/2.5/weather";
var data = {
q : "Portland,OR",
temperature : farenheit,
units : "metric"
};
function showWeather(weatherReport){
} $("#temperature").append("temperature");
$(weatherReport.main.temp).text("temp");
});
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>What's the Weather Like?</title>
<script src="jquery.js"></script>
<script src="weather.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div id="main">
<h1>Current temperature: <span id="temperature"></span>°</h1>
</div>
</body>
</html>

15,370 PointsHi. Your code falls outside the function's curly braces and the the two lines could be shortened to one
function showWeather(weatherReport){
$("#temperature").text(weatherReport.main.temp);
}
$("#temperature") will select the html
.text(weatherReport.main.temp); will populate that html with the temperature response from the weather site.
Hope this helps!
