7,709 PointsAJAX Basics -- open method
I can't tell what's wrong here, so maybe another pair of eyes can help. I'm supposed to use the open method to the request object, which the test has called "request." The only line of code I've written here is the open method...
var request = new XMLHttpRequest();
request.onreadystatechange = function () {
if (request.readyState === 4) {
document.getElementById("footer").innerHTML = request.responseText;
}
request.open("GET","footer.html",true);
};
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>AJAX with JavaScript</title>
<script src="app.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div id="main">
<h1>AJAX!</h1>
</div>
<div id="footer"></div>
</body>
</html>
