You're only missing '=' between your alt attribute and its value:

<a href='#'><img src='img/twitter-wrap.png' alt='twitter'></a>
<a href='#'><img src='img/facebook-wrap.png' alt='facebook'></a>

Gosh that was dumb. I must be tired. Thank you very much!

No problem! It is easy to overlook errors like that, and everyone makes them. I didn't see it at first glance - I had to study it for a minute.

hie it looks like you have ommitted the = sign after your alt in your anchor references, i think your code should look something like this:

<footer> <a href="http://twitter.com/nickrp"><img src="img/twitter-wrap.png" alt="Twitter Logo"></a> <a href="http://facebook.com/nickpettit"><img src="img/facebook-wrap.png" alt="Facebook Logo"></a> <p>Ā© 2013 Nick Pettit.</p> </footer>
