I'm not sure if I have a correct answer or if treehouse wants the answer in a different way.
Am I returning the argument of the function returnValue into the variable echo correctly?
function returnValue(item){
return item;
}
var echo = returnValue();
returnValue("stuff");

22,916 PointsHi Kenney,
You were very close! Try to write the function parameter in the function call itself.
Like this:
function returnValue(item){
return item;
}
var echo = returnValue("stuff");
