Format is a function over strings.

By doing this:

subject = "Treehouse loves.format{name}"

subject is a string that has a '.' a substring "format" and "name" in it.

The syntax is as follows:

name = "Hey,all practice is good practice,rigt?"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)
