1)What is difference between a field and a variable ?

2) What is refactoring 3) Why do we need to cast like button b = new (button) findViewById(R.id.id); 4) if an array containing elements is declared as private in a class , can i send(not being accessed) at least one element of that array to other class ? And why ?
