Android Development Track Up to Date?

Hi,

So I want to learn android development. I understand that the prerequisite to the Beginner Android track recommends completing almost half of the Java track. My primary question is, are the android courses up to date with the newest version of android studio and things related to this? I would hate to learn stuff that is outdated, though, I'm sure there will be a lot of "carry on" from the older material. Please let me know.

Thanks

Yep, it should all be fairly up to date! There might be a few places where something's been changed on us already, but that's just the nature of Android development - things move quickly. And if it's a big enough issue to impact your learning, then we're usually pretty good about retiring that course/workshop, so you shouldn't see much of that.

We also don't want students to get too distracted by the version of tools or Android. Like Ben mentioned, we fix or retire old courses and are always creating new material on the newest versions. But most of our material focuses on the core concepts that are consistent across releases. :)
