Android is skipping frames

Hi, I'm trying to run this app. Till a few moments ago everything was running fine. Now, as soon as I entered the code in this video, I started getting the following error:

"Android skipped 37 frames. The application may be doing too much work on its main thread"

I have already increased the emulator devices's SD card memomry to 200 MiB and have restarted the PC a number of times. At times, the app starts running (and lists the JSON data) however the display soon returns to a blank black screen and freezes.

Hope someone could help!
