Android New project

Hi, While entering the name of the new project there is a checkbox below the package name which says "Include C++ Support". What does that mean and how will it be helpful if I mark it as checked. I just need a brief overview of it.

My take on this is that Android apps can be created in other apps than just Java. If you're proficient with C++ you might want to include support when adding a new project but if you're using Java by default then it won't hold you back if you don't.
