Any reason not to just pass the function into the Counter props and not have to declare a variable on each render?

Like this: 

      <Counter
        totalGuests={this.getTotalInvited()}
        guestsAttending={this.getTotalConfirmed()}
        guestsUnconfirmed={this.getTotalUnconfirmed()}

It's because the the teacher wants to use the two constants to calculate the number of unconfirmed guests:

  const numberUnconfirmed = totalInvited - numberAttending;

He doesn't want to create a third function. It's personal preference. I like you way.
