Are Hexadecimal colors important to learn?

when coding can you just code the style as the name of the color or will you need to know the hexadecimal color types?

No, I've remembered a few from repetition but that's it. A lot of companies have a style guide document to reference.

It's not practical to memorize the RGB values for all 140 HTML colors. But reference tables are easy to find online and elsewhere, so there's really not any reason to attempt it.
