Hey Shashi,

Good question. You cannot call a method in the parameter of a function. The function parameter is for setting the placeholder arguments only, so you'll have to call float() inside the function itself.

No, in the definition of the function you will only name the parameters. If you need to do anything to them (like convert them to float, you will do that using code inside the function:

def add(num1, num2):
    num1 = float(num1)
    num2 = float(num2)
    # other code here...
