float math_constants [2] = 2.71828; Im confused about adding 2.71828 to index 0 of math_constants.

I'm assuming you're on task 2.
After task 1 you should have had float math_constants[2];
This gives us an array of type float with room for 2 floats. Since array indices are zero based this means we can assign a float value to math_constants[0]
and to math_constants[1]
. No other indices would be valid.
Task 2 states "Assign the number 2.71828 to index 0 of math_constants"
Since the index is 0 we make sure that is what we put between the brackets.
math_constants[0] = 2.71828;
