assigning touppercase to a variable and concatenating it with another variable

Q: assign an all upper case id to username variable.

var id = "23188xtr"; var lastname = "smith";

var username

i have tried;

username += id.touppercase();

it doesnt work , please help

Hi Mostafa, I think the '+' is used for concatenation, for example to add two strings together - so it is not needed here. The request here is to assign the new value to the variable, like so:

userName = id.toUpperCase();

Also - you should pay attention for the uppercase letters in the function name. The correct name is: "toUpperCase()".
