AVB not responding

When testing my app by clicking the play button I get an an error saying that the AVB is not responding

When that happens for me, I use the Invalidate Caches / Restart option but you could just turn Android Studio off and on again - that should reset it and get it working again.

I tried closing and re-opening Android Studio, but still no avail. I am however getting a message about rendering issues saying that I need to update Android Studios, but I am also having trouble with that
