Sorry, this challenge doesn't seem to like shades of grey. If you pick a colorful color (or any non-grey value) it should pass. There isn't anything wrong with your code.

I don't know why the challenge is picky with this one. I think it may be because the background displays as white by default and fonts are black by default, so you're really not "setting" a color when you pick white (#fff) and black (#000). Just change those 2 colors to anything else and it will pass you.

Hi Nathan, It looks like your question may have been answered. The issue does seem that the text-color can not be black. I made it white (color: white) and the challenge passed so I agree with the above answers that this is something within this challenge and in the real world you can set the text to black as you did in the challenge (color: #000). The background color worked fine for me set to white (background-color: #fff)
