background vs background-color

I'm just confused about when to use the selector background as opposed to background-color. I noticed when Nick declared the body background white (#fff) he used the selector background-color

Cheers

Hey Brett,

Background is just the short hand for many of the background values and can incorporate the color, image, repeat, etc.

You can get much more detail at the MDN site

Keep Coding! :)
