Badges not unlocking?

Hey folks,

I could be totally wrong here but it appears I'm missing some badges.

I finished up the PHP Functions course and unlocked one badge total, PHP Functions Basics. Afterwards, I took a look at some other user profiles and see the following badges for the same course:

PHP Returns & Closures (Function Returns and More), PHP Internal Functions (PHP Internal Functions)

Could there be a reason that these badges didn't unlock for me? Any help is appreciated.
