Based on this question, how do I know which field they are asking for? For example:

Groceries is the most expensive item at 300, but it is also the SECOND most expensive item at 200. I answered with the price, and it was incorrect. I think the syntax of the question needs to be changed to be more clear.

You didn't quote the question itself, but many questions ask about which item is the least or most expensive. So instead of the price, the correct answer would probably be "Groceries".
