15,789 PointsBefore I start following this video, should I have already installed Git?
I have just purchased a new Macbook Pro and want to make sure I'm all up to date with where I need to be in the Ruby on Rails development track before continuing.
I just wasn't sure if this video assumes I have already downloaded Git during the Git Basics stage?
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

13,564 PointsHi Ian!
The track will most likely assume that you have completed Git basics however don't worry as you won't actually be using it with any of the Ruby projects covered in the course in question.
You can go ahead and install it now if you want but if you don't feel like it then you will still be absolutely fine without it. This might be a good excuse though, if you are just new to Git, to touch up on your version control skills.
I hope that I managed to help you out.
