Bootstrap WordPress search widget in the sidebar

Hello everyone

I have a nagging issue and its probably really easy for someone to solve. I am creating a theme for my WordPress site using Bootstrap. It's going OK but I'm now trying to add in a search widget to my sidebar on a page. I can get the widget showing up but its just using the default styling and Bootstrap is being ignored. I've noticed from inspecting the element that the search form has a #searchform id. What do I need to do to get the Bootstrap styling working?
