It wants you to check if item is "STOP" before you print, you're checking it after.

def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
      if item == "STOP":
        break
      print(item)

I have EXACTLY the same code input as you suggested and I still get the error of "Didn't find the right items being printed"

Challenge Task 1 of 1

I need you to help me finish my loopy function. Inside of the function, I need a for loop that prints each thing in items. But, if the current thing is the string "STOP", break the loop.

def loopy(items):

for item in items:

if item == "STOP":

break

print(item)

Correct indentation matters:

def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        if item == "STOP":
            break
        print(item)

You are very close. You need to move the print statement after the if statement to allow the if to break before the print

def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
      if item == "STOP":
        break
      print(item)

oh man, thank you guys so much,

that makes more sense
