Broken Themes -The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template. <?

I have my theme folder named "scouting" created with style.css, with this: /* Theme Name: Scouting Theme Author: Jami Rinderknecht Author URI: http://www.jr-webservices.com/ Description: A clean, simple, responsive scouting theme designed in WordPress. Version: 1.0 License: GNU General Public License v2 or later License URI: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html Tags: black, white, light, green.

You are welcome to use this theme privately or commercially you want to help accomplish those dreams! */

index.php (blank), functions.php (blank), and screenshot.php. but the error I am getting is "The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template."

Any ideas?

I figured it out. My index.php was saved as a text file but named indext.php.txt. I changed it to a php file. An easy fix but annoying as well. My custom theme is working.
