Did you try taking the whitespace out?

<meta charset="utf-8">

I don't think it's strictly required for an HTML doc, but its kinda part of the testing mechanism. Sometimes its picky on the answers.

<meta charset = "utf-8">

It's because you have an extra "whitespace" between charset and the equal sign.

Also, make sure it's in your head element.

I tested this with https://validator.w3.org and it came out clean so I think what you have is technically correct, but usually we see it without the whitespace.
