2,519 PointsButton displays all pictures, not specified tagged pictures
My code displays photos of every animal, (including birds?) and won't switch pictures when changing different buttons. I have no idea why this is happening. Help!
Here is my code: $(document).ready(function () { $('button').click(function () { $('button').removeClass('selected'); $(this).addClass('selected');
var flickrAPI = "http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?jsoncallback=?";
var animal = $(this).text();
var flickrOptions = {
tags: "animal",
format: "json"
};
function displayPhotos(data) {
var photoHTML = '<ul>';
$.each( data.items, function (i, photo) {
photoHTML += '<li class="grid-25 tablet-grid-50">';
photoHTML += '<a href="' + photo.link + '" class="image">';
photoHTML += '<img src="' + photo.media.m + '"></a></li>';
});
photoHTML += '</ul>';
$('#photos').html(photoHTML);
}
$.getJSON(flickrAPI, flickrOptions, displayPhotos);
}); }); // end ready

13,123 PointsIn your flickrOptions object, you're passing a string "animal" instead of the variable animal
var flickrOptions = {
tags: "animal",
format: "json"
};
It should be:
var flickrOptions = {
tags: animal, //change this line
format: "json"
};
