Call the getYear function: store the returned value of the function in a new variable named yearToday.

Can anybody help with this task, this is very frustrating, I need some help my freinds!!

You're very close. The only issue is when you return a value from a function, you don't need the equals sign. See below:

function getYear() {
  var year = new Date().getFullYear();
  return year;
}

var yearToday = getYear();
