Can I apply conditions to variables?

I can't pass through challenge 1 of 2 in conditions.py as admitted = None is variable.

conditions.py
admitted = None
admitted is None
admitted == None
age = admitted
if age > 13:

    else:
        print ("Not admitted")

You have to print when if condition is true as u have writtten "Not admitted" under else statement
