1,286 PointsCan someone explain why this isn't working?
I do believe I hit all conditions. It may be a problem with the syntax, but I can't seem to find a reason why this doesn't work.
# EXAMPLES:
# move((1, 1, 10), (-1, 0)) => (0, 1, 10)
# move((0, 1, 10), (-1, 0)) => (0, 1, 5)
# move((0, 9, 5), (0, 1)) => (0, 9, 0)
def move(player, direction):
x, y, hp = player
horizontal, vertical = direction
if (x + horizontal) >= 0 and (x + horizontal) <= 9 and (y + vertical) >= 0 and (y + vertical) <= 9:
x = x + horizontal
y = y + vertical
else:
hp = hp - 5
return x, y, hp
