Can someone help me and tell me where the meta charset should be? im putting it in the head tags but its wrong.

I am adding meta charset to the head tags but it wont let me continue.

index.html
<!doctype html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset = "UTF-8">
  </head>
  <body></body>
</html>

The code below works for me. Your code seems fine, may be a matter of spacing with the meta charset. The code below is the entire challenge. Feel free to reference it.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="UTF-8">
    <title></title>
  </head>

  <body>
    <header></header>
    <section></section>

    <footer></footer>

  </body>
</html>

Just erase the space bethween the equal sign and the double cuotes
