# string_factory(values)
# ["Hi, I'm Michelangelo and I love to eat PIZZA!", "Hi, I'm Garfield and I love to eat lasagna!"]

values = [{'name': "Michelangelo", "food": "PIZZA"}, {'name': "Garfield", "food": "lasagna"}]
template = "Hi, I'm {name} and I love to eat {food}!"
def string_factory(values):
    result_list=[]
    for items in values:
        result_list.append(template.format(items))
    return return_list

Hi there, I agree, the question is worded a bit... hmm

Specifically:

Return a new list of strings made by using ** for each dictionary in the list and the template string provided.

Personally I have no idea what "use ** " means, however the comments in the editor are a little more helpful:

# Example:
# values = [{"name": "Michelangelo", "food": "PIZZA"}, {"name": "Garfield", "food": "lasagna"}]
# string_factory(values)
# ["Hi, I'm Michelangelo and I love to eat PIZZA!", "Hi, I'm Garfield and I love to eat lasagna!"]

values = [{'name': "Michelangelo", "food": "PIZZA"}, {'name': "Garfield", "food": "lasagna"}]
template = "Hi, I'm {name} and I love to eat {food}!"

So it wants you to make a function that takes the values from each dictionary in the list and combines them with the template string to make a new list of strings. Currently your for loop only goes one level deep - it's grabing the dictionaries from the list, now you just need the values from the dictionaries

I hope it helps :)
