I'm stumped on the second task.
function returnValue(argument) {
return argument;
}
var echo = returnValue(argument);

231,236 PointsActually, you have it solved except for one issue. In the function, the word "argument" stands for a parameter that will be passed in. So that's perfectly fine.
But in the call on the bottom line, it causes a syntax error because it attempts to reference something that has not been defined.
So just replace the word argument on the bottom line with some literal string value, like "Howdy" or "JavaScript".

2,337 PointsWhen i do that is says Task 1 is no longer correct. You are saying to do this:
function returnValue(argument) { return argument; }
var echo = returnValue("Howdy");
right?
