Can you explain me why you create the hidden item_name input?

If you are talking about what I think you are talking about. Then it is done that way to ensure that spammer bots do not use your forms. The hidden file will never show to your visitor but the spammer bot will not realize that the form is hidden. They will fill it out, the process of them filling this area out then trying to submit will make the submission null and void. It just for safety.
