HTML How to Make a Website Creating HTML Content Create Navigation with Lists

Can you help me to figure out why I'm stuck when trying to add links to my unlisted items? please

Here is the second question of the test "Link each of the list items. Portfolio should got to "index.html", About should go to "about.html" and Contact should go to "contact.html"

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
        <ul>
          <li><a href="index.html">Portofolio</a></li>
          <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
          <li><a href="contact.html">contact</a></li>
        </ul>
      </nav>
    </header>
    <section></section>
    <footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>

Your html is all correct, so it's most likely just that Portfolio is spelled wrong.

I think it's just a matter of the spelling / capitalization on your link text. ("contact", "Portofolio")

doh! Thank you Jem!

I cant get mine to work either. I have been stuck for 2 hours.

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Nick Pettit</title> </head> <body> <header> <a href="index.html"> <nav> <ul> <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li> <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li> <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li> </ul> </nav> <h1>Nick Pettit</h1> <h2>Designer</h2> </a> </header> <section></section> <footer> <p>Ā© 2013 Nick Pettit.</p> </footer> </body> </html>

Hi Chris,

This is where your going wrong, take a look at AJ's code to see the difference.

    <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
    <h2>Designer</h2>
  </a>

Hope this helps.

By the way, its always easier to get a response if you post a separate question rather than adding to one thats already posted.

Thank you, I see what happened. I've been typing and retyping that same area over and over thinking that I had a typo that I just couldnt see.
