Python Python Basics Functions and Looping Raise an Exception

Can you please raise a ValueError if the product_idea is less than 3 characters long? product_idea is a string.

I need help!

suggestinator.py
def suggest(product_idea):
    if len(product_idea):
    raise ValueError("product_idea < = 3")
    return product_idea + "initiator"

1 Answer

You are checking the length of product_idea ok but are not comparing to anything. You've also modified the product name in your return statement. It should just be 'inator' not 'initiator'. Fix that and an indent and you'll pass.
